Jimmy Wyble's Classical Country PDF. The first half of the book explains the concepts of two-line improvisation and composition. In the second half, are six etudes composed for the student to learn.
Classical/Country is fresh, and innovative, as it must have been in 1973.
It wasn’t written for beginners – hardly even intermediates. But, if an advanced fingerstyle guitarist wants to expand their technique, and push beyond old patterns and habits, this book is the place to start. The diagrams showed the exact placement of fingers on the fretboard, thus making it easier to learn the exercises and etudes. The etudes were not written exclusively for jazz guitarists either. Classical guitarists would gain a lot by learning the etudes as well.
