Bob Dylan / The Band - Before the Flood
Bob Dylan The Band Before the Flood. Songs & Pictures from the American Tour 1974. 1974 Softcover of his album Before The Flood. Pictures, Music, and Lyrics to the album.
Bob Dylan & The Band had just released their collaborative effort, Planet Waves, and they hit the road for a historical tour. The show was a combination of Mr. Dylan songs and Band songs and the album does a great job of conveying the concert. Songs like "Lay Lady Lay", "Highway 61 Revisited", "Ballad Of A Thin Man", "Blowin' In The Wind" and "Rainy Day Woman #12 & 35" have a distinctive sound and musical power that only could come from the potent combination of Mr. Dylan & The Band. Mr. Dylan's solo acoustic songs including "Don't Think Twice", "Just Like A Woman" and "It's Alright Ma" are haunting and beautiful. The Band are equally powerful on their songs.
Simply put, if you like Dylan and the Band you can not go wrong. Dylan is in great voice, the Band always sound great and provide Dylan's best backup ever.
