If you follow this book to completion you will be able to handle many Bossa Nova songs and comping chords in fake books. I have to say I made awesome progress with the book but I love the Bossa Nova style so it kept me interested. Recommend playing the advanced chords on a nylon string guitar as it works great for studying quartal harmony.
