    also this book is much much greater than the admin gives it credit.(sorry admin). the reason it has many many beats that are almost the same, is simple. so that you can grasp all variations of a bit . the trick here, is the applications it has. it is not just the beats. without the applications it is not that good a book. the applications show you how you should play every beat. for instance, you can play the beats with 8th notes on ride, with 16th notes with one hand, you could play 1,2,3 or 1,2,4 or 2,3,4 you could play off beat etc. this is just an example. there is about 20 applications you can use. apply these applications to every beat and it will make you an amazing drummer. this is an excellent book. trust me i know what i am talking about
