Mark Harrison Jazz-Blues Piano PDF. Keyboard Instruction. The Complete Guide with Audio. This comprehensive book with online audio tracks will teach you the basic skills needed to play jazz-blues piano. From comping to soloing, you'll learn the theory, the tools, and the tricks used by the pros. The accompanying audio features many of the examples in the book performed either solo, or with a full band, including a full chapter of complete songs. Topics covered include: scales and chords; harmony and voicings; progressions and comping; melodies and soloing; characteristic stylings.
The book has many different exercises(85) to practice different Jazz styles and also has a backing track to hear how the exercises sound like. The book gets into allot of theory of the Jazz exercises.
This book is not for the very beginner pianist. You need to know your chords (basic and extended, 9th, 13th, inversions, open chords, etc) and scale modes(dorian,  etc) which it gets into pretty heavy.
Each exercise, the book describes each measure what they are trying to do. Plus you get to hear what it sounds like on the Audio CD that comes with the book.
There are some nice Jazz songs in the back of the book (7 of them). There are backing tracks for these also to hear what they sound like.
Also gets into one comping style exercise by several different Jazz Blues artists such as Oscar Peterson,Charlie Parker, etc. Again, this is a great reference book on Jazz and Blues styles.
