She studied conducting, piano and violin at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She owes her love for the guitar to the unforgotten guitarist, viola player and artist Martin Nicolai, who was also an excellent composer.
Maria’s travels have taken her around the globe, inspiring over 500 compositions for the guitar. In 2006 she returned to Germany after spending five years teaching in China, to take up her career as a musician once more.
