An American Southern Rock band. Lynyrd Skynyrd were a very famous band that rose to the top of recognition and were famous for there hit single “Free Bird”. As unfortunate as it could get, several members, including lead vocalist and primary songwriter Ronnie Van Zant, died in a tragic plane crash in 1977. The band had basically ended after that event. Many members started up alternate bands such as the Rossington-Collins Band, and the Allen Collins Band, but it had never been the same for any of the members. The band performed live at 2008 for one last time.
