First 50 Songs You Should Fingerpick On Guitar PDF. Do you feel you’ve learned enough fingerstyle technique to start playing some real tunes? If so, this is the book for you. This is a delightful collection of old and new, popular and eclectic tunes. It is in the “cheat sheet” format, ie very accessible but at the same time pretty accurately transcribed. There are some advanced songs included that go well beyond the “first 50” fingerpicking tunes a players might attempt, very worthwhile to spend the effort, though.
It mostly shows chords and picking patterns for intros, then lyrics and chords for the body of the song – no melody integrated into an arrangement. No notation. So if you’re looking to accompany yourself or another singer, this should be fine, but they’re not full arrangements of the songs.
